The First to Go...

Fear Haunted House was originally a regular house, just like any other built in 1951. The house was owned by William Britt, whom lived there with his wife Emily and their children: 8 year old Bill and twin infant daughters Sara and Clara. The Britt’s lived a normal happy life, however all that changed in the blink of an eye. On January 7, 1952 William was burning trash in the fireplace in their bedroom. Completely unaware of what her husband was doing, Emily placed both Sara and Clara by the fireplace for a nap. Not long after leaving her baby’s by the fire, the batteries left inside the burning trash bag exploded, scaring baby Sara to death. William and Emily decided it best to move their broken family away from their tragic loss and start over. But even after all these years, on rainy nights you can still hear Sara crying, still awaiting her family’s return.

A Misunderstanding…

Mabel and Earnest Jones were the next family to move into the Britt’s dream home. During their time in the house, their eldest son George and his girlfriend Alice ended their relationship, just days after Alice gave birth to George’s daughter, Grace.  One week passed and George began to miss Alice, so he decided to go to her father’s house where she stayed to try to work things out. Before George got to see Alice, he and her father got into a big argument. After their argument George thought it best to just go home. While leaving, Alice pulls into the driveway and they get a chance to talk to one another. They decide to give their relationship another try. Feeling guilty for the argument he just had with Alice’s father, George goes in the house to apologize. As soon as George walked in the door, Alice’s father shot him in the stomach. Alice took George back to his mother’s house and he died on the living room floor.  These days you can see his shadow and hear his footsteps roaming through the house at an angry pacing speed. He will turn your television channels and slam your doors. George never got the chance to right his wrongs, so although George is dead, he is far from gone.

The Lady in White…

In 1991, Fear Haunted House was a new production, located at 1920 Elijah road, with no running water inside. When female actors needed a restroom break they would travel in groups to the house next door and wait in the living room for their turn in the restroom. One night, after the group had their break they all got up to leave except one lady sitting in a white dress. The owner of the house asked her if she needed to use the restroom and she vanished into thin air right in front of his very eyes. Her story is unknown but she is just as much a part of the Fear Haunted House as George and Baby Sara. We say this because when we moved to our current location, she came with us. Fast forward to one night in October of 2002, all the Fear Haunted House Actors were in costume and walking through the maze room. One actor was startled by the lady in white who floated through her as if she weren’t even standing there! The actor fled from the house and has not worked with us since that day! That same night several people reported seeing the lady in white, Ricky Morgan, the owner of Fear Haunted House eventually had to close the doors that night because he couldn’t keep the actors inside; they were all too terrified of the lady in white to work. To this day, no one, not even the owner, enters the house alone. The lady in white floats around, aimlessly terrifying all who crosses her path.
